While out lobster fishing on my father’s boat yesterday a visitor dropped by the rear of the boat and perched on a creel. I’ve never seen such an evil looking animal in my life. He gave me one serious De Niro stare before flying off to put the screws on someone else.

OK. I’ve been tagged by Meg Price so I better do the deed.

16 things about me.

1. I can completely fit a cotton bud up each nostril so they’re hidden.
2. I used to box.
3. I’m called Windy because my sirname is Miller and friends called me Windy after Windy Miller in Trumpton.
4. I once did a voice over for a McDonalds advert.
5. I can tell a joke on any subject you give me within a minute.
6. My favourite animal is the Wolf.
7. Fave colour is Blue.
8. Used to swap around different coloured contact lenses and told people my eyes changed colour with my mood. Some people actually believed it.
9. I have to cut fruit like apples in half to eat them or I get lock jaw (result of no. 2)
10. I want to learn to play the piano like my musical hero Ray Charles.
11. I used to do 1,000 situps every night. Fat belly earned over the last year says I better start again.
12. I had a name for my dog 5 years before I got him. See Digger on my photostream.
13. I want a part in Entourage. I would actually like it to be real life and i could be one of the crew.
14. I once sparred with a then reigning world boxing champion and I didn’t come off worst.
15. I love corned beef hash with fruity brown sauce.
16. Flickr is my favourite website ever. Love looking at such great shots and I have made some amazing friends.

15 year old Anastasia Adams has spent her entire life on run. She and her mother have never spent more than 18 months in any one location, often times leaving with just the clothes on their backs. Despite the havoc that this is wreaking on Ana’s social and academic life, her mother offers no explanation as to why it is they’re constantly moving, or even what it is they’re running from. But that all changes one night in the woods of Pelion, SC–the night the terror catches up with them.

Fearing her mother dead, and having barely escaped with her own life, Ana is whisked away to world of privilege and tradition. It’s a fairytale come to life. The poor girl used to living out of a suitcase is now a resident of one of the most exclusive addresses in the world. The people there adore her and she catches the eye of a young guardian who sees her as a refreshing change to the girls he’s grown up with.

If only they could find her mother. If only she knew the consequences of being born a “conjurer.” If only she knew who that green eyed stranger was, the stranger who’ll tell her about a past too romantic, and too tragic to be real. In the end, she’ll have to choose between the boy who has captured her heart and the stranger she can feel down in her soul, assuring at least one of them an almost certain death.
